Once in a small village of India there was a guru Called " Paramahans ", he had 
lot of disciples who came from nearby villages for succession of his knowledge as a tradition.
Among all the disciples was one called " Ramanuj ", he was foolish of all.Everyone used to laugh at him.
His friends used to say he could not do anything in his life, how will he survive.He had lost all his hope and confidence.
Guru Paramahans had a plan for him, he started taking him to fetch water from a nearby well.Everyday Ramanuj would go with his guru ,drop a bucket tied to a rope , fetch some water and pour it on the plants beside the well.There was a rock placed on the edge of the well , rope would rub against the rock every single time water is fetched from well.Months passed doing this Ramanuj couldn't understand what Guru was trying to teach him.

One fine day Guru again takes Ramanuj to the well, Ramanuj asks his Guru "Why are we coming here everyday."Guru asks him to look at the rock carefully, Ramanuj sees the rock and observes that it  has a cut impression on the rock due to rope.
Guru explains if a soft rope can cut a rock by it patience and hard work, even you can make your life meaningful with your hard work and patience.
Ramanuj understands every word Guru was trying to teach him and his eyes fills with tears.Time passes by and Ramanuj puts all his efforts and hardwork.

After ten years a big carriage stops in front of Guru "Paramahans",A royal looking man steps out of it and falls on the feet of him.Guru says "Who are you, why are you falling on my feet?".The man replies "Sir i am Ramanuj".Guru's eyes fills with tears on seeing his disciple.
